Website questions

What is included in the £299 Essential website?

One main page, a mobile-friendly design, a contact form, basic headings, a page title and description, and two revision rounds. Essential does not include a blog or content editor.

What counts as a main page?

A main page is a distinct page for your business content, such as Home, About or Services. Essential includes one, Business up to five and Professional up to ten. The included blog and standard policy pages sit outside these allowances. Larger sites are quoted individually. You provide or approve policy content.

Can I update the website myself?

Business includes a blog post editor and editing for contact details, opening hours and social links. Professional also includes editing for existing page headings, text and gallery images. New pages and layout changes are separate work. Essential has no blog or editor.

What does the more detailed SEO include?

Keyword planning for each main page, individual titles, descriptions and headings, internal links, image alt text, an XML sitemap, Google Search Console setup and relevant structured data. Rankings, indexing and sales are not guaranteed. Ongoing SEO work is separate.

Are hosting, a domain and business email included?

No. Domain registration, hosting and business email are separate costs. Suitable hosting can be arranged independently. SSL is not included in the build price; it is provided through the chosen hosting arrangement. Hosting and Care from Vertygo are optional.

How do payments and launch work?

50% upfront and 50% after your written approval, before launch or handover. Larger custom projects can use agreed milestones. The quote includes an estimated timeline; it depends on the agreed scope and you supplying content and feedback.

What is a revision round?

One revision round is a single, consolidated list of feedback on the agreed design and content. New pages, features or a change of direction are extra work. Fixing faults in the agreed work does not use a revision round.

Will I own my website?

You own the bespoke website after full payment. Third-party software and licences keep their own terms. Your domain remains in your name. Handover includes website files, a database export where applicable, relevant access and a basic introduction to any included editing tools. Later migrations are separate work.
