PERSONAL WEBSITES

Personal website and portfolio design.

Portfolio, creator, blog and personal websites for people with something to show or share. Vertygo helps turn your projects, writing or experience into a clear web presence without unnecessary business features.

WHAT IT INCLUDES

Choose what someone should learn about you.

A photographer’s portfolio, a freelance profile and a specialist blog have different priorities. I organise the site around your work and the people you want to reach, rather than squeezing it into a generic business layout.

Portfolios with context

Show a selected body of work and explain the project, your contribution and the result where you can substantiate it. Good context often tells visitors more than a large image grid alone.

  • Project galleries
  • Case-study pages
  • About and contact sections

Blogs and publishing

An article-based site needs a useful structure and a practical way to publish. Categories, readable pages and sharing metadata can be planned around how often you expect to write.

  • Article structure
  • Content management where needed
  • Search-friendly URLs

Freelance and personal profiles

Explain what you do, who you can help and how to enquire. Qualifications, experience and features should be accurate and supported by material you provide.

  • Services and profile
  • Experience or CV content
  • Clear contact route

Clubs, hobbies and side projects

A focused site can organise information that would otherwise be scattered across social posts. Start with the pages people actually need and leave room for later additions.

  • Project or club information
  • Simple forms
  • Future expansion
WHO IT IS FOR

You do not need a company to need a website.

Individuals, freelancers, creators and non-commercial projects are welcome. A focused one-page site may be enough. Regular publishing or a larger portfolio can use Business or Professional.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Useful things to know before starting.

Can I use a domain I already own?

Yes, an existing domain can usually be connected. I check the registrar and DNS setup first, especially if the domain also handles email.

Can I add a blog or more projects later?

Yes, future expansion can be planned. Tell me what you expect to publish so the initial structure and any editing tools are suitable. Additional functionality is scoped before development.

Can you use photographs from my social profile?

You can provide images and text you have the right to use. Supplying the original image files is usually better than relying on compressed social-media copies.

Is a personal website cheaper than a business site?

Essential is £299 for one main page, a contact form, responsive design and basic SEO. Business is £750 for up to five main pages with a blog and business-details editing. Professional is £1,500 for up to ten main pages with more editing control. Domain registration, hosting and email are separate.

NEXT STEP

What would you like people to see?
