WEBSITE REPAIR

Custom website repairs and troubleshooting.

Tell me what is going wrong and send the website address. I assess the technology, available access and fault before confirming whether I can help and agreeing a repair scope. WordPress repair work is outside my current offer.

WHAT IT INCLUDES

Understand the fault before changing the website.

A broken form, incorrect link or layout problem can have different causes. I investigate the agreed issue and explain what I can support, rather than promising a fix before seeing how the website works.

Describe what happens

Tell me which page or feature is affected, what you expected and what actually happens. Screenshots and any error message can help make the initial discussion more useful.

Check technology and access

I establish how the website was built and what access is available. I confirm whether the work is within the PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and related custom website systems I can support.

Agree the repair

The agreed scope identifies the issue, investigation or repair work, cost and any dependencies. If the problem needs a different approach, I discuss that before extending the work.

Verify the affected journey

The repair includes checking the agreed behaviour after the change. Wider redesigns, unrelated faults and new features are separate work, so the scope remains clear.

HOW IT WORKS

A clear scope before work begins.

Tell me what you need help with. I’ll discuss the available access, the work involved and the expected cost before starting.

Explain the fault

Send the website address, the affected page and what happens.

Assess the work

I check the technology and access before confirming whether I can help.

Agree and repair

I set out the scope and price, then carry out the agreed work.

Test the result

I check the affected functionality and explain the outcome.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Useful things to know before starting.

Can you repair any website?

No. I assess the technology, fault and access first. I only agree work I can support. WordPress repairs are not part of my current offer.

Do you need hosting or admin access?

That depends on the issue. I explain what access is necessary for the agreed investigation. Do not send passwords in an ordinary enquiry message.

Can you fix my enquiry form?

I can assess the form and its submission process. A repair depends on how it was built and whether the necessary website, database and email settings can be accessed.

What if a redesign would be more appropriate?

I explain the options and their scope. A repair enquiry does not commit you to a redesign, and extra work is discussed before it starts.

NEXT STEP

Tell me what you need help with.

Send me the website address and a short explanation. I’ll discuss the next step directly with you.
