Meet Owen

I’m Owen, the person behind Vertygo. Based in Falkirk, I design and build websites for businesses across the UK. If you’re looking for a local designer, explore my web design service for Falkirk and Central Scotland.

I’ve been building websites since 2007. I started Vertygo to put those skills to work for businesses that want to attract more customers and give people confidence in what they offer.

What I enjoy most is bringing an idea to life. Building websites gives me a way to turn someone’s vision into something people can explore, use and connect with.

When you work with Vertygo, you work directly with me—from the first conversation through to building and launching your website.

How it works

Tell me what you need

Tell me about your business, your ideas and what you want your website to achieve. If you already have a website, send me the address so I can understand where you’re starting.

Agree the plan and price

I’ll discuss the pages, features and content with you, then set out the scope, price and estimated timescale. You’ll know what’s included before work begins.

Build and review

I’ll design and build the website around the agreed plan. You’ll have the opportunity to review it, give feedback and request the changes included in your project.

Test and launch

I’ll check the website’s layout, links, forms and agreed features before launch. I’ll also explain the handover arrangements and any optional support available afterwards.

Why choose Vertygo?

A personal service, with one person looking after your website.

I run Vertygo independently. When you get in touch, you’re speaking directly to the person who will design and build your website.

Having one point of contact keeps the process straightforward. You can discuss ideas, ask questions and give feedback directly to me, without your project passing between different departments.

I’ll explain the options, agree a clear scope and price with you, and guide you through the project from the first conversation to launch.

Frequently asked questions

How much will my website cost?

Business websites start from £299 and online shops start from £500. The final price depends on the pages and features you need. I’ll agree the scope and price with you before work begins, including any separate hosting, domain or email costs.

How long does a website take to build?

I aim to complete straightforward websites within 1–2 weeks. Larger websites or projects with more complex features may take longer, depending on their size and requirements. I’ll give you an estimated timescale before work begins.

What content do I need to provide?

You’ll usually need details about your business, your services or products, contact information and any existing logo or photographs you want to use. I’ll explain what’s needed for your particular project during the planning stage.

Can you improve my existing website?

I can review your existing website and discuss changes to its design, content and structure. What I can change will depend on how the website was built and the access available, so send me the address when you enquire.

Can you help people find my business on Google?

Basic on-page SEO is included in my website builds. I also offer additional SEO, Search Console and Google Business Profile support. The work will depend on your business and existing website; I don’t guarantee particular search rankings.

Can you arrange my domain, hosting and business email?

Yes. I can help arrange these alongside your website. They’re priced separately, and I’ll explain the initial and ongoing costs before you decide what to use.

Will I own my website?

You own the bespoke website after full payment. Third-party software and licences keep their own terms. Hosting, domain renewals and optional support are separate services, with their costs explained before you commit.

Can I update the website myself?

Editing options depend on the project and the features included. I’ll explain which areas you’ll be able to manage yourself during planning, so you know what access is included and which changes would need my help.

What support is available after launch?

Faults in the agreed work are covered by a 30-day post-launch correction period. Ongoing maintenance and additional changes are optional services, with the work covered and its cost agreed separately.
